    PMSHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Ahmednagar is one of the members of all Kendriya Vidyalayas, which are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Education (H.R.D.), Govt. of India, New Delhi in 1965. This Vidyalaya is established in the year 1963 near Ahmednagar Fort, Camp Area; this school is one of the 20 Regimental Schools established by KVS. The school is affiliated to CBSE and follows bilingual medium. The present enrollment is 1190 having Science and Humanities streams at plus 2 level. The school is also facilitated with a resource room and interactive boards in classrooms. The Vidyalaya is Co-Educational which primarily caters to the educational needs of the children of Central Government employees including Defence Personnel, liable to frequent transfers throughout the country and floating population. The school’s mission is to prepare each student for academic, social and personal success by creating a community of empowered and diverse learners striving to be global citizens in natural atmosphere of mutual respect, understanding and trust.
